Field Trips – “Little Farmer for a Day”
Field Trip (ages 12 and under) consists of 2 ½ – 3 hours of fun on the farm! We include an educational lesson tied to curriculum standards for Tennessee, and a hayride to the pumpkin patch. Each child and adult will be able to pick out their own small pumpkin to take home at no charge. There will also be the opportunity to visit our Big and Little Critter Barns, corn cribs, hay maze, and giant slides! Our field trips provide a hands-on farm experience for the students.
Cost for the field trip is $8.00 per person for children and adults with a minimum of 20 children per field trip. Teachers (2 per 24 students) and bus drivers are admitted for free. We ask that you provide one chaperone per 12 children. Total payment is due in full as a group upon arrival. Payment can be made by check, Visa, or Master Card. Note: Groups must pre-collect from parents for parents to receive discounted admission. Teachers that do not pre-collect from parents will need to notify the parents that they will be required to pay full admission price of $12.50 per person upon arrival.
We provide an outdoor space with picnic tables available for lunch and permanent restroom facilities. Each person will need to bring their own sack lunch, but our Calf-A will be open for snack and drink purchases.

Our fall field trips are held September 16 through October 27, 2017, Tuesdays through Fridays at either 9:30 am or 10:00 am. When scheduling your field trip, we will need a group total (children and adults) as well as a contact person to confirm that all the information has been completed for your upcoming visit.
Weekend Birthday Parties
Old McDonald’s Farm offers a Birthday Party area that can be reserved Saturday and Sunday during our normal business hours. Our hours this season will be Saturday 10:00 am – 7:00 pm & Sunday 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The charge for the Birthday Party Area is $50.00 for 4 sheltered picnic tables with seating for 30 people, and a free admission and t-shirt for the birthday child. Please choose from the following t-shirt sizes: 2T, 3T, 4T, YS, and YM. Purchase of admission stamp is required for all guests 3 years old and up. The $50.00 is due by check at the time of reservation. The reservation will not be confirmed until the payment is received.
You may bring your own birthday cake, utensils, and napkins. We do not allow any other outside food. If you need drinks or additional food, you can purchase them from our concession stand, the Calf-A. The times available for reservation are: Saturday 10:00 am-2:00 pm or 2:30 pm- 6:30 pm & Sunday 12:00 pm- 3:00 pm or 3:30 pm- 6:30 pm.
All of our attractions will be open to birthday party guests. Attractions include a Hayride to the Pumpkin Patch (pumpkins are available for an additional charge), a walking adventure through our 3 acre corn maze, a visit to our Big and Little Critter Barns, play in our three large Corn Cribs, slide down our two Giant Slides, ride our Pony Rodeo, try to find your way out of our Hay Maze, saddle up on the Uncle Ben’s Wagon Ride, and race your friends in the Barnyard 500. Also try, for an additional charge, our Old McDonald’s Farm Mining Company or take a ride on our Cow Coaster. We also offer delicious food, homemade lemonade, a market, and lots of picnic tables.
Be sure to let your family and friends know that if they are attending your Birthday Party, they will be required to purchase an admission wristband or stamp. Everyone will have access to all attractions while at the party. We do the clean-up, all you have to do is come and enjoy the day.

Home School Day
We will be open on October 13th, 2017 from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. for hours of fun on the farm, including an Educational Lesson tied to curriculum standards for Tennessee, plus:

There will also be an opportunity to visit our Little and Big Critter Barns, Corn Cribs, Hay Maze, and Giant Slides. Again this year we will have the Farm Life Experience, which is a hands-on activity allowing the kids to participate in real farm life activities. We will have the educational lesson each half hour from 10a.m. – 11:30a.m., and from 1p.m. – 4p.m. We will also be running the hayride approximately every half hour to the pumpkin patch (hayride will not be running 12p.m. – 1p.m for a staff lunch break).
Old McDonald’s Farm has an outdoor space with picnic tables available for lunch, and we will have food available for purchase in the Calf-A. We also have full restroom facilities. We ask that you provide one chaperone per five children.
